Ohhhhhhh so old.
But good for a laugh. And I'm quite proud of the composition.
This was meant as a cover for a Dracula prequel I thought about writing for a while. It was about Drac's youngest 'bride' and how she got suckered into becoming a vampire, and a younger Van Helsing, and how he came to know alllll about Drac for Stoker's book. It was quite a good idea, with a decent plot, but I just could not write it. Probably because I couldn't get the voice right for the period. This is all that remains, this and some story notes.
The girl in the coffin is...*checks notes* Sarah somebody, I don't remember her last name, the dude on the left is Abraham Van Helsing, scholar and cynic, and on the right is Nathaniel Cross, Sarah's fiance and heir to Carfax Manor. (Yes, it is the one you're thinking of.) And yes, he is wearing a bandage around his neck. Why? Because...well, let's just say Van Helsing knew not to let Arthur kiss Lucy for a reason.
If you didn't understand half of the above paragraph, you should read Dracula. It's a good one.

A very nice idea. By the way, I would like to recommend The Un-Dead by Joel H. Emerson to you. Its a retelling of the original novel with the characters and events that Stoker had to delete from the original novel. In there, its implied that Van Helsing encountered Dracula's fair bride some time before the events of the story. I was thinking it might interest you.
